Classic Cars
We stock popular classic tyre sizes, and if not readily available, we can source most vintage, classic, or muscle car tyres through our international network of specialist suppliers. We also offer a range of tubes and whitewall inserts.
Understanding Cross-Ply vs. Radial Tyres
Modern radial tyres aren’t exact size replacements for classic cross-ply tyres, as cross-ply tyres have a taller sidewall profile—typically between 95% and 100% of the tyre’s width, compared to the tallest radial profile of 80%. This difference means radial tyres generally appear smaller within the wheel arch than cross-ply tyres.
However, there are many widely used radial alternatives that can replace cross-ply tyres, which we’ve outlined in the table below as a general guide (not a specific recommendation). Radial tyres typically require higher inflation pressure than cross-ply tyres for optimal performance.
