Air-con Regas
The temperature inside a vehicle in the summer sun can easily exceed 50°C. To effectively remove heat, an automotive air conditioner relies on various electronically controlled components, including:
- compressor
- condenser
- evaporator
- valves and hoses
Keeping your vehicle comfortable during hot weather depends on the proper maintenance of your A/C system. For optimal performance, the system must be free from leaks to ensure that the refrigerant remains contained. Over time, component wear and leaks can occur, negatively affecting the performance of any car air conditioner.
The most common cause of inadequate cooling is when the refrigerant level falls below the manufacturer’s specifications. This can happen due to the normal dissipation of refrigerant gas and leaks caused by worn seals, loose fittings, and connections. Low refrigerant levels not only impact passenger comfort but can also cause damage from components operating under extra load. To ensure refrigerant levels are correct and that the components of your A/C system function properly, we recommend an annual auto air conditioning assessment at the end of winter.
Our assessment includes:
- A visual inspection of all air conditioner components
- An ultra-violet dye test to find leak
- A system pressure test
- Purging of old refrigerant and renewal to manufacturer specification
- Renewal of all system and compressor oil
- Measuring temperature at ventilation outlets to determine cooling performance
We also offer an A/C system cleaning service to remove mold, bacteria, and fungi, eliminating the musty odor associated with dirty air conditioner components. The cleaning agent is applied using a specialized hose injection system and does not require disassembly of components.
